What We’ve Achieved: * Successfully completed 3000+ rigid bronchoscopic therapeutic interventions * Performed numerous high-risk, life-saving airway procedures * Emerged as a leading center for advanced airway management Key Milestones & Innovations: * World’s first transbronchial lung cryobiopsy in infants for diagnosis of DPLD * India’s first airway stenting in a newborn for congenital airway stenosis * First in India to perform tracheo-bronchial ablation for the treatment of EDAC * India’s first allogenic tracheal transplant, in collaboration with thoracic and head & neck surgery teams • First in Kerala and 3rd centre in India to perform biodegradable airway stenting for treatment of post-TB bronchial stenosis * Established India’s 2nd advanced bronchoscopy simulation centre * Extensive expertise in advanced airway reconstruction procedures Commitment to Training & Excellence Beyond clinical achievements, the department remains deeply committed to education.
